12 Trends Celebs Are Wearing on Vacation This Summer

In the age of Instagram, it’s easy to feel like celebrities are on vacation for the entirety of summer (and spring). If you don’t want to see celebrity bikini shots or selfies of themselves lounging in the first class cabin this summer, we’d advise keeping the scrolling of your feed to a minimum. But that isn’t what we’ve been doing. On no, we’ve been keeping a close eye on what stars like Kendall Jenner, Victoria Beckham, and Dua Lipa have been wearing while on vacation, and we’ve spotted plenty of summer trends in the process.

We’re well aware that summer hasn’t even officially begun, but as far as we’re concerned, the weather has been balmy enough and the beach trips plentiful enough to call it what it is. And in case you have a warm-weather vacation (or a staycation) coming up too, you might want to use the below as your shopping and packing guide. Scroll on to kick things off.

Whether you’re seeking more support up top or just love the retro look of underwire swimsuits, you’re in luck because they’re everywhere right now (including on Elsa Hosk in France).

Tracee Ellis Ross got the memo: Hot-pink is the random color everyone is wearing right now.

Crochet is one of the easiest “grandma” trends to pull off this summer. Olivia Palermo did it successfully, as you can see.

Of course Kendall Jenner would have a variation of the Chanel It shoes of summer 2019.

The saying everything in moderation doesn’t apply to the ruffle trend this summer, so go big or go home.

Sporty shield sunglasses have replaced tiny sunglasses among the celebrity set. No time like vacation to give the trend a try, right?

We used to advise that flip-flops be worn only on vacation, but they’re a trend now, so might as well invest in a nice pair.

The all-beige trend that started earlier this year is still going strong, as you can see via Victoria Beckham in Miami.

No explanation needed on how big the tie-dye trend is this season. Dua Lipa agrees.

We’re big fans of smocked pieces for their excellent fit, comfort level, and sweet ’90s vibes. Celebs clearly are too. More sizes available here.

If you want to make a big impact on Instagram, like Yara Shahidi did in Paris recently, go neon or go home.

Whether in the form of dresses or tops, puffed sleeves are pretty much the easiest way to earn compliments this summer.
