The Chic New British Brand You Can Only Order Over DM

The Chic New British Brand You Can Only Order Over DM

During Copenhagen Fashion Week in January, I noticed Elle UK editor Daisy Murray’s super-cute puff-sleeve dress and immediately asked where it was from. To my delight, it wasn’t from Zara or Topshop but instead from an independent British brand with no website, just a couple thousand Instagram followers and a pair of talented sisters running the show. I love a fast-fashion find as much as the next person, but there’s something special about discovering a stylish, carefully handmade brand before it hits the big leagues—and I believe I found that in M.92.

Sisters Maryam and Amina are extremely detail-oriented when it comes to crafting their pieces, which are available to order over M.92’s Instagram direct messages or by emailing [email protected] “We really are doing our best to offer unconventional designs and remarkable quality to our customers, so our design process can be really time-consuming, but I think it’s worth … Read the rest

Selena Gomez's $86 Mango Airport Outfit Is Even Better Than Leggings

Selena Gomez's $86 Mango Airport Outfit Is Even Better Than Leggings

The Cannes Mandelieu Airport is a bit of a runway during the annual Cannes Film Festival, as photographers flock there in hopes of catching the celebrity festival attendees as they arrive in France. Because of this, you’ll see a lot of celebrities stepping off the plane in glamorous looks that are far from comfortable. But Selena Gomez, being the expert traveler that she is, arrived at the Cannes airport two days ago wearing a comfortable outfit that was actually practical for the lengthy flight. Even better, the knit top and trousers are just $86 at Mango, and they’re not sold out (well, not yet). The knit matching set looks infinitely more polished than leggings and is honestly more comfortable. You could even compare her ribbed knit separates to a blanket, which isn’t something you could say about leggings.

As for the rest of Gomez’s look, planes are cold, … Read the rest

The New Bags Every Fashion Girl From NYC to Copenhagen Added to Cart Today

The New Bags Every Fashion Girl From NYC to Copenhagen Added to Cart Today

Okay, Ganni. We see you coming for our entire closet. The Danish cool-girl brand has already earned at least one spot in the closets of everyone in the fashion industry, whether it be a printed dress, statement boot, or fun bucket hat. Today, the brand has expanded into another category—handbags—so now it’s only a matter of time until the brand takes over each part of our closets. As expected, the leather bags are ultra cool, but they’re just as wearable and polished, too—basically everything we could want in a bag.

“For me, handbags are an extension of yourself, an everyday essential that you can’t live without. We wanted to think outside the box to really create a bag for everyone that you can wear everywhere,” Ditte Reffstrup, creative director of the brand, tells us. “From the girl on the go who carries her entire world in her … Read the rest

I Didn't Believe in CBD Skincare—Until I Had My 71-Year-Old Parents Try It

I Didn't Believe in CBD Skincare—Until I Had My 71-Year-Old Parents Try It

This mask initially caught my eye after I saw multiple celebrities and models (like Karlie Kloss!) prep their face with it pre-makeup. It has a unique repair technology that’s exclusive to the brand and boasts twice the amount of hyaluronic acid for exceptional hydration. (Pack this one for the plane!)
This skin-reviving jelly mask is my mom’s absolute favorite sheet mask, and I take full credit for turning her onto it! It’s exceptionally soothing and great for de-puffing. Consider it your Gatorade’s significantly cuter sidekick come Sunday-morning hangover.
Ah, the most gorgeous, skin-saving French export that no one knows about! Talika is one of my favorite French beauty brands, and its Bio Enzyme masks are one of my favorite skincare products, point blank.  Alpine botanical extracts, hyaluronic acid, and hydrophilic sugars improve hydration, tone, and texture, while arnica extract strategically calms redness, and bamboo stem cells stave off premature aging

13 Items Italian and L.A. Fashion Girls Will Buy in Droves Today

13 Items Italian and L.A. Fashion Girls Will Buy in Droves Today

Two wildly popular brands have teamed up for what could be one of the best collaborations of 2019. The sustainable, L.A.-based Re/Done and Italian It brand The Attico just released a ’70s- and ’80s-inspired collection filled with glamorous pieces, mostly consisting of reworked vintage (along with a few new graphic tees and cargo pants).

In keeping with Re/Done’s commitment to upcycling, the brands took vintage floral dresses and Levi’s denim pieces, repurposing them into 13 one-of-a-kind items that will please their Italian and L.A. fans equally (as well as their fans everywhere else, naturally).

For the campaign, there was no reason to look further than Attico founders and designers Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini. (You’ll see why below.) Speaking of Ambrosio and Tordini, Re/Done co-founder Sean Barron remarked via a press release, “We had an instant connection with Gilda and Giorgia,” Adding, “The quick friendship unfolded organically. Both of … Read the rest

This Is How Jennifer Aniston Has a Guaranteed Good Hair Day, Every Damn Day

This Is How Jennifer Aniston Has a Guaranteed Good Hair Day, Every Damn Day

For me, there’s one celebrity who epitomizes the very concept of a great hair day: Jennifer Aniston. From her cult “Rachel” haircut of the ’90s to her distinctive bouncy waves of today, Aniston just might have the most iconic hair in the business. In fact, I can’t think of a single time I’ve seen her snapped with a hair out of place. So what’s the secret to enjoying a good hair day every damn day?

Before we get into it, I feel compelled to provide a bit of a disclaimer here. If you’re like me, you have a bit of a love-hate relationship with your hair. I love how long it can last between washes but hate that it has a total life of its own. Also, I’m going to admit that Aniston’s daily hair routine might cause you to feel a little green-eyed. 5 Sunglass Trends That Are in for Summer 2019 (and 5 That Are Out)

Sunglasses are arguably the one item that can make or break your entire summer wardrobe. Think about it: If you’ve settled on the perfect pair that makes a statement but still somehow goes with everything, it will take your look from zero to 100 in an instant. But on the other hand, make the mistake of leaving it at home, and your outfit can never really live its best life. The good news is you’re mere moments away from finding your next pair of shades to wear all summer long.

Even if sunglasses are an afterthought for you, simply updating the pair you grab before leaving the house to a fresher style will go a long way, which is why we’re breaking down all the summer eyewear trends that are in (and a few that are fading away, too) to make it extra easy for you. The Trend Everyone Will Ditch Their Leggings for This Summer

The Trend Everyone Will Ditch Their Leggings for This Summer

If you’re sick of hearing about bike shorts, we don’t blame you, but the truth of the matter is that the athleisure trend is here to stay until further notice. We might as well accept it for all it’s worth. Bike shorts are pegged as one of spring’s biggest trends, and we’ve informed you on how to style bike shorts, where to buy bike shorts, and much more. Today, though, we’re here to look a little farther down the line. Ready for a little summer style talk? Thought so.

The bike short hype will surely still be alive and well through to August, and women will undoubtedly be swapping out their leggings for the cooler (both literally and figuratively) alternative. But that’s not all. In an effort to make this fad feel a bit fresher, everyone from gym-goers to influencers has been spotted wearing their bike shorts with … Read the rest

The Difference Between British and American Lingerie

The Difference Between British and American Lingerie

If you’re a British woman, there’s a very good chance that you buy the bulk of your lingerie from mega-retailer Marks & Spencer. In fact, the company is a market leader in the UK, holding a whopping 36% market share in bras (it sells over 21 million bras and 60 million pairs of underwear per year!), and it has a longstanding partnership with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

I recently had the opportunity to travel to London, see the brand’s new spring collection firsthand, and find out all there is to know about British lingerie trends from Soozie Jenkinson, head of design for lingerie, activewear, and swimwear for Marks & Spencer.

After reading my fellow editor Lauren’s story last year about the difference between Italian and American lingerie, I was looking forward to getting Jenkinson’s take on how British and American lingerie styles and trends differ, among other things. Keep … Read the rest
