The Shoe Mistakes Flight Attendants Never Make When Traveling

The Shoe Mistakes Flight Attendants Never Make When Traveling

As fashion editors, we can (and do) give travel wardrobe advice until the cows come home, but there’s no one on the planet with more wisdom on this subject than those who literally travel for a living: flight attendants. And unlike the rest of us, they have to stand the majority of the time that they’re traveling from city to city, so who better to reach out to for shoe advice? We tapped four flight attendants who have logged hundreds of thousands of miles in the air to tell us what the travel shoe mistakes they’d never make are, and their responses were definitely worth noting for your next trip to the airport. Read on for their tips and to shop the shoe styles that each recommends.

Beyoncé: Queen of the Universe and Champion of Emerging Brands

Beyoncé: Queen of the Universe and Champion of Emerging Brands

I can think of few things that could do more for a brand—emerging or established—than the approval and endorsement of one Queen B, ruler of the Beyhive and arguably the most famous woman on the planet. And, as someone who is regularly making statements with her thoughtful and intentional fashion choices, there’s no chance she doesn’t know what power she holds. That’s why we’re always pleased when Beyoncé decides to use her clout to support an on-the-rise brand that might not even need the exposure but definitely is deserving of it. Especially when you consider the fact that every major fashion house from Louis Vuitton to Saint Laurent to Ralph & Russo would drop anything to work with her, or collaborate with her, at a moment’s notice.

If her viral By Far bag recently caught your attention, you’re not alone, but I’m here to tell you Read the rest

Sophie Turner’s Wedding Dress Is As Incredible As We Wanted It to Be

Sophie Turner’s Wedding Dress Is As Incredible As We Wanted It to Be

After a good few days of speculation, including all the outfits in the run up to the event, we’ve finally been given a glimpse of Sophie Turner’s wedding dress. Unsurprisingly, the bridal gown was designed by Louis Vuitton’s creative director Nicholas Ghesquière, who also dressed the actress for the Met Gala and many high profile moments before that. The designer revealed on Instagram early this morning that he was behind Turner’s wedding dress with a picture of the full look.

The floor-length dress was a classic ball gown skirt, with a band around the waist and fitted lace sleeves. While it’s definitely a more demure kind of design, the low neckline and open back made this the perfect style for a modern bride. Under the lace sleeves was a white bodice with cap sleeves—perhaps designed so the sleeves could be taken off and the dress transformed into the evening look? Read the rest
