The Controversial Swim Trend I'm So Into Right Now

If I were to write a short list of clothing items that scare me, somewhere after body-con dresses and maybe before uncomfortable shoes and white jeans you’d find white bathing suits. You may have already read about the fact that I don’t particularly love wearing bathing suits in the first place but buy them anyway—now if you take a category that already makes me uncomfortable and choose a white (aka nowhere-to-hide) iteration, I’m downright petrified. It’s kind of how my former co-worker Aemilia feels about another bubbling swim trend.

Nonetheless, you can imagine my confusion when I suddenly noticed how many of my favorites suits were actually white. Maybe seeing so many of them (after all, they are having a moment) was like a form of exposure therapy, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I actually ordered a couple while simultaneously researching stories.

Will I end up channeling my inner Sofia Richie this summer? Only time will tell, but for now, you can shop all the nicest white bikinis and one-pieces I have my eyes on below—and some of which even have shopper reviews to back them up.

If you want to get Sofia’s exact look, this suit is the place to start.
This may or may not be one of the pieces I’ve already ordered.
According to Madewell shopper’s reviews, this set isn’t see-through and feels like great quality.
+ Unique Vintage Bottoms ($45) . Rouching is the flattering trend I hope never goes away.
Another highly recommended suit by shoppers!
You can never go wrong with a classic.
You’ll never get tired of wearing this chic Zimmermann bikini.
Without a doubt, you’ll be wearing this bikini for years.
A classic swimsuit will never let you down.
We simply can’t get over the texture of this.
+ Diamond Bikini Bottom ($88). If you’re on the shorter side, a high-cut bikini will make you look so much taller.
+ Cheeky Bikini Bottoms ($13). This sleek cut will always be timeless.
+ Luciana Bikini Bottoms ($99). With the tie back, you’ll feel chic and flirty at the beach.
The hook-and-eye closure makes this swimsuit feel ultra-stylish.
+ Vixen Bottoms ($56). This bikini style has been It girl approved.
The lace detail makes this undeniably pretty.
+ Zoni Bottoms ($66). The embroidery details make this perfect for your next vacation.
Talk about a head-turning swimsuit.
The colored accents make the suit stand out.

That’s all for swimwear, but you can shop more trends I’m loving right now.
